Booking Questions
Common questions about scheduling your appointment with Bright Futures Health.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
We typically have same-week availability, and most appointments can be scheduled within 3-5 working days. Occasionally we can see your child sooner — sometimes the same day — if a clinic is already running and a slot is free; call our team and they will tell you what is open. We are not an urgent or emergency service. If your child is unwell and needs to be seen now, please contact your GP or call NHS 111, and 999 in an emergency.
Do I need a GP referral to book?
No, you can book directly with us without a GP referral. However, some insurance providers require a referral for coverage, so please check with your insurer before booking if you're using insurance.
Can I choose which doctor I see?
Yes, you can request either Dr Gray or Dr Burmester when booking. Both are experienced consultant paediatricians with international training. If you have no preference, we'll schedule you with whichever doctor has the earliest availability.
What should I bring to the appointment?
Please bring:
• Your child's red book (Personal Child Health Record)
• Immunisation records
• Any relevant medical reports or test results
• Insurance details and pre-authorization (if applicable)
• List of current medications
• Any questions or concerns you'd like to discuss
What are your opening hours?
Our team and clinics run Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm. We do not offer evening or weekend appointments.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least two working days notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than two working days notice may incur a £120 fee to cover the clinical time reserved for your appointment. We understand things come up - please call us to discuss if you are unable to attend.
Do you offer home visits?
We do not offer home visits. We see children at Wimpole Street, Chiswick and Chelsea & Westminster, and we also offer secure video consultations.
Is parking available at your clinic locations?
Wimpole Street (Harley Street area): Street parking and nearby NCP car parks available. We're also easily accessible by tube (Bond Street or Oxford Circus).
Chiswick Medical Centre: Free parking available on-site.
Chelsea & Westminster Hospital: Hospital car park available (charges apply).
